The most recent round of investments is led by General Catalyst.
The cloud network platform Aviatrix has just revealed that it has secured $75 million in Series D funding. Greenspring Associates, Meritech Capital, and TrueBridge Capital Partners are new investors in the round, which was sponsored by General Catalyst. Participating in this round were previous investors CRV, Formation 8, Ignition, and Liberty Global Ventures. The company now has $151 million in total financing. General Catalyst’s Quentin Clark will become a member of the corporation’s board of directors.
Enterprises have never been comfortable being confined to single-vendor IT solutions, whether on-premises or in the cloud. Therefore, as businesses migrate to the cloud, multi-cloud adoption will only accelerate, according to Quentin Clark, general director of General Catalyst. “Aviatrix built the technology that abstracts away the challenges of operating a multi-cloud estate, placing them well ahead of this trend. Here, CEO Steve Mullaney and his team have the chance to truly create a category,” in his opinion.
As companies continue to shift their mission-critical applications to the cloud, the company will use this growth-stage investment to scale its sales, partner channels, customer support, and product development organizations to meet the rising demand from businesses for multi-cloud networking solutions.
According to Steve Mullaney, CEO of Aviatrix, “the enterprise herd is moving to multi-cloud.” “More businesses are converting their operations and moving their IT infrastructure to the cloud daily, and the majority of that, of course, involves utilizing numerous cloud service providers” (CSPs). With the operational and security controls that businesses want, our cloud network platform offers the simplicity and automation you would expect from a cloud-native solution.”
